Turn-key refers to something that is ready for immediate use, generally used in the sale or supply of goods or services.

The term 'Turnkey Project' relates to a specific and special mode of carrying out international business. It is a contract under which a firm agrees to fully design, construct and equip a manufacturing/ business/ service facility and turn the project over to the purchaser when it is ready for operation for appropriate remuneration.

Every Turnkey Project is unique & their diverse nature requires experience and a broad skill base in order to plan and manage the project successfully from inception to completion. L&B Technical Services have the benefit of in depth mechanical and electrical expertise and it is this which facilitates our ability to be in prime position to complete this type of project.

Our experience over the years has involved the following scenarios:

Production machinery rationalisation / transfer involving the supply, installation and testing of Instrument air, Water Lines, and Electrical facilities at the new location prior to the disconnection and transfer of machinery from the existing facility.

CNC machinery and complex line production equipment that requires the management and coordination of the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or their appointed agents, CNC machines under the manufacturers warranty and the decommissioning and re-commissioning of the remaining machinery by L&B Technical Services.

The transfer of complete production facilities from the UK to specific locations overseas, from Europe to the Americas and beyond, including electrical power, control panels and associated cable recovery, preparation for shipping, full detailed shipping inventories, packing and securing for sea freight over 120 containers / flat racks. This service also includes the secure handling of sensitive test and laboratory equipment complete with electronic shock monitoring devices.

This type of project has involved our Electrical & Mechanical supervision and other key operatives following the consignment to oversee and manage the complete rebuild.
